可每一年，我都会遇到同样的学生：他们早已走过入门阶段，一心想读真正的中文世界，却卡在“真实中文太难、课本太闷、网上资料太杂、身边又没人陪”之间。最难找的，是自己真正爱读的东西：既贴合时代，又能读懂中国社会与文化。

In all my years of teaching, the moments that stay with me most are when students read a real Chinese story, understand it for the first time, and cannot hold back a quiet smile.
Yet every year I met students in the same situation: well past the beginner stage, longing to discover the real Chinese world through reading, and stuck between authentic Chinese that is too hard, textbooks that are too dull, material scattered all over the internet, and no one to guide them through it all. What they found hardest to come by was reading they truly loved: writing of its time that lets them read into Chinese society and culture.
So I set out to build them a home, one with the depth of a real classroom, the warmth of original stories, and the joy of reaching for the stars. 曾在旧金山湾区教授中高级中文多年，是北极星中文全系列的总策划。“摘星之旅”由她原创设计，让学习像一场星空探索。趣读中国是她亲手打造的一个系列，四层星圈，层层深入一个话题；名著与诗歌两个系列，则来自她从小对文学的喜爱。
She taught intermediate and advanced Chinese in the San Francisco Bay Area for years and planned every content series in BeiStar Chinese. The Star-Picking Journey is her original design, which turns learning into an exploration of the night sky. Read China is a series she built herself: four rings of stars, each ring going deeper into one topic. The masterworks and poetry series come from a lifelong love of literature.
台湾大学中国文学系、中文研究所出身，曾在旧金山湾区任教几十年、经验丰富。课堂之外，著有广受好评的 AP® 备考指导书。她亲笔为中级以上学习者编写原创连载故事《佳怡的东游记》，其余板块则由她以主编身份把关。
She studied Chinese literature at National Taiwan University through both her undergraduate and graduate degrees, and taught in the San Francisco Bay Area for decades. Beyond the classroom, she is the author of a well-regarded AP® prep guide. She personally writes the original serialized story Jiayi's Journey to the East, and reviews every other content series as chief editor.
